1^st Annual Lake Celebration hosted by Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper

Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper is hosted the 1^st Annual Lake Celebration on Saturday, August 20^th from 2pm-7pm. This event was open to the public, had free admission, and was held outdoors on Trinity at City Beach’s south lawn and waterfront. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for the event with clear skies and warm weather.

The event featured fun for all ages: live music by Mick Croon; boat tours on the Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper Patrol Boat; paddle board and kayak demos; a diversity of kids activities; lake trivia with great prizes; and BBQ with vegetarian options.

Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper hopes to bring the community together every year to celebrate our amazing resource, Lake Pend Oreille, at this event. We were lucky to have sponsorships from Action Water Sports, All About Adventures, Creations, REI, Selkirk Outdoor Leadership and Education (SOLE), and Trinity at City Beach.

The Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper Patrol Boat offered free boat tours.

Mick Croon played a great show with his band!

Stand Up Paddle Boards and Kayaks were avaiable to try out.
